One week after EXAMS!!

its been a hell of a struggle for the past one months.. ive really been mugging and i cant imagine how i endured such moments.. i really studied really hard and i so hope i dun do badly esp fr my virology! its one of my most worrying paper.. i really feel so shitty after the paper..so god! help me on that! But after that one month of dread.. here comes the joy..haha

the moment ive been waiting and longed for during those dreadful times... its HOLIDAYS!! yiPpppYY... tho i its kindaof sucky that i start my work straight after my exams!! bt my boss is really one nice guy, tho the job at lab isnt something i really like.. bt nevertherless atleast i get paid 250/week.. its kindaof pathetic if u think on the amt of hours im wrking.. bt nvtherless its still a form of cash, so i shldnt be so choosy..yeah

so what have i done in this one week???

ive been to the beaches!! yippe.. the beaches here are jux too beautiful beyond description!! so ive been to the williamstown beach and brighton..i lUV brighton, it so awesome!! ive been clubbing quite abit as well w my housemates as well as the sporean gang.. and nt forgetting some retail therapy really helps... n not forgetting i went to the Great Ocean Road.. its really a beautiful place.. the scenery.. its jux simply fantastic.. theres still so much more to see in melbourne and im gonna make full use of this 3 mths to do and go around as much as possible.. heee.. so catch some piczy below!

jings bdae! + Selamat Hari Raya ppl...

Went out on saturday night to celebrate Jings' bdae! we went to this indian restaurant which was said to be really cheap and good. Its called Bismi.. the food was nt too bad n it was nice to haf proper nice indian food after so long...So its was really nice to spend time out w the girlies bt we haf james joingin us tt night... so after tt we wanted to go to a Bar to chill out and stuff.. bt poor me gt called out he said student ID wasnt acceptable and it could be a fake (to think i tot i dressed abit too mature)! then i was like i went to tt bar before and it was ok.. guess if u were to go w guy then dun check u, bt jux tt u are w a gp of gals they actually checked.. so sad! ITS SO TOUGH TO CLUB HERE! i really need to bring along passport! which is so dangerous.. n stupid me din bring my IC along left it in spore.. im so gonna ask my parents to pass to ghim so tt i can have my IC w me.. so to LISA bring ur IC along or drivers licence or u cant even enter a BAR!!!!! haha

SO thanx to me we had to go starbucks.. which was so boring initially.. so to entertain oursleves we end up taking alot of piczyss... yippee!! beoce cameras whore! w so many stupid poses.. me n jast even had this les post tt makes it seem like we are really pure les like kissing!!! haha.. we are straight PPl.. we adore guys!! just fr the fun of it we went crazyy.. bt i cant post tt pic up =X

So to celebrate hari raya i went w my muslim housemates to the mosque on the night of hari raya.. there was really alot of food n boy its was sooo spicyyy... bt nice in a way bt my stomach felt like it was burning!! it was nice hanging out w these guys and u can see tt how different you are, as in culture, conversations and topics u chat abt.. bt it was nice.. tho they were all frm a clique i could see they tried their best to make me feel v welcomed.. tts abt it, im nt sure what will i be doing today.. studying?? exams are really coming on the 8th nov ends on the 24th nov.. =( so much wrk to go.. n im nt even prepared as yet.. wonder haf i been playing too much????????

haha.. it has been a while since i last ate really good food apart frm dinner ay yin thai to celeb jast bdae! ESP GD FOOD FR ME WHEN IM FASTING! haha.. so we decided to make nasi lemak frm the ingredients my mom gave me.. so yeah.. it does look good and im very proud of myslef! keke...

more updates?? hmm...oh yeah...we went to a club/pub thingie on 7th oct, oh god it was a totally great nite.. too much happenings fr me tho... guess this is the first time i went w the gals and nt a w a guy.. so the experience is kindaof shocking! coz if ya w a guy they dun really disturb u..so bottom line is tt the ppl here, or wld i say the guys here are "scary"?? they kindaof touch you on ur waist, hold ur hands and stuff as u are dancing at dance floor and the only best thing is that the drinks are on them! =X they are kindaof cute toooo... so we gals succumb to temptation and jux played along.. bt yeah..wun be clubbing till after 24th nov! exams coming... sigh... superbly scary! ALL ARE LIKE 80%....
my virus results are out.. i gt 84, think its ok.. fr a paper i din really had much confidence.. bt also means YASMIN TIME TO REALLY START STUDYING HARD!!!!! =(

just had my virus test on tues.. i really wonder how badly im gonna do.. its kindaof difficult as in the answers to the questions were like so close! 45 mcq and yet so tough.. i hope i did alright.. its 20% tho.. im still left with wrking on my microbial biotech assignment which is due this fri.. im like 3/4 through it.. its reallya tough essay.. so overall uni life is indeed tough, really nothing like poly.. or it could be i play more back here then when i was in spore.. mayb coz ive gt all the freedom! In a months time, its exams! first paper on the 8th Noc, last paper on the 24th Nov.... time really flies at an amazing speed in no time one semester gonna end.. when its seems like i jux arrive melbourne...haha.. yeah.. so i must start studying... really solid studying! cant afford to do badly!

hee.. celebrated jast bdae..it was kindaof real fun.. like a gals nite out! bt too bad the club we went had an event thingie hence the upper level dance floor was closed..so only the bar was open.. will take more g8 pics.. coming up for moreee.. hee.. cant wait for after the 6th OCT! now gtta study.. been playing tooo much.. pray that i do well fr my darn VIROLOGY test!

Its been quite sometime since i last blogged. Its not that i have been very busy bt its jux tt i getting kindaof lazy and plus the fact i think im not very good at expressing myslef with words?
Anyways life has been i would say a pretty much challenging and adventurous one.. Im really having a good time here in Melbourne, not frgeting my loved ones back in spore tho..hee
But i really liked it here, the people the environment bt not frgetting the sucky studying. It nice to just study if theres no TESTS or EXAMS! Ive really been playing bit too much.. sometimes i really wonder how come time can just fly at an amazing speed! Can u believe it ive been here for 2 months ++! So like i say life have been pretty alright and i really consider living in melbourne for long..hee
Coming to the more interesting part, i was seeing an Aussie guy whom i tot was nice and all bt somehow or rather things jux din wrk out, i guess culture clash?? haha.. i guess some of you already know what im talking about. I dun really wish to mention much coz i have been repeating the entire story to tonnes of ppl.. hence im really too lazy to elaborate on it! Cum i did some cool shopping.. The clothes here in MElbourne are really cheap as compared to Spore.. So catch out for some nice pics below w my darlings here in melb and the bit of shopping!

Let me start from the day I flew off, it was a day that was filled with much emotions, something I would say pretty much undecscrible, there was priods tt rush thru my mind like why the hell am I on the plane leaving spore and stuff.. it was an awful feeling with all the uncertainties awaits me. BUT just as I arrived at the Melbourne airport gt all my baggage and stuff ready for the pickup service suddenly I feel myself all excited. Seeing new people, new environment and NEW weather was a great eye opener. ALL of a SUDDEN I knew I had made the right decision, its like I suddenly grew to like being here and was eager to wait upon new challenges entering a new phase of life.

To start of my 1st day at Melbourne was of coz to get to my apartment. It is pretty much a cozy place to live in, I would say I liked it here and the shared kitchen and toilet wasn’t too bad after all! So GLAD tt I chose Unilodge. So after which my dear fren who was here earlier became our faithful tour guide and brought us arnd to all the main places tt u need to know like where u shop fr cheap groceries, stationery, good coffee places, asian marts, etc. It was pretty cool to know tt everywhere in Melbourne is pretty much a walking distance, unless ya lazy to walk. BUT of coz I opt to walk coz its free and also a gd form of exercise, so ppl I dun think im gonna be FAT here..hee.. cum its like jux a straight road down frm my place to city, and im so near lygon as well.. so everywhere is pretty much accessible. SO v happy abt tt! *grins*

The rest of my week, I would say was spend updating on the food source, exploring new places like the yarra river, parks, bazaars and stuff. And of course I attended the uni orientation settled all the administrative aspects if it and also the fun parts of it. Of which on tt is worth to mention is the Australian Bush dance. Its something like their cultural dance and I wld say they make it like a mass dance thingie so tt everyone participates. I would say its soo sooo hilarious, and damn fun and damn TIRING on a winter night. They made u jump arnd, hug ppl arnd and ultimately make frens and stuff.. so pretty nicee..

Meeting new people has been like mostly ppl frm my apartment and they I wld say v frenly, and my place has a lot on international people frm Americans to Spanish to china, French, japan, sporeans, Africans bla bla… so pretty wide horizon of ppl.. once I get to know them betta will post more stuffs out.

Sch is starting tom, I will get to see more ppl then and hope to make many more new frens. So tts abt it and im kinda scared abt starting sch coz im like so used to this vacation mood thingie.. haha..

Last day here in Spore

hmm.. how shall i start.. it has been a great one week b4 im gonna fly.. did quite alot of meet ups and farewell and spending time w family, it was indeed a nice feeling

so i wanna thank jerm, dave, faz, elle, car fr all the sweet words and company on my last night in spore.. tho u guys kept feeling bad nt being able to send me off! but it really OK.. no worriess..

then to mat and the biofilm ppl, the bbq was pretty great gonna miss my students ppl like hana, ying, ying zhi..

then to girlies.. iwill miss you peeps nt fregting Ting, thanx fr those lucky charms..

I guess i pretty much hate good byes.. bt time really flies so in a blink of eye i will be back.. dun think im gonna take hons la.. no $$.. haha.. so i will definitely make the best of my trip there and learn as much as i can.. will try to keep this blog updated if ive gt internet access and place pics up as well.. till now.. mux get ready and stuff liao or mom will nag.. ciao! take care ppl i will miss every single one of u *hugz*

so many things have happened and it really seems that time has indeed flied at an extremely amazing speed before i know in exactly 1 weeks im gonna fly off.. it jux seems to soon, esp with me suddenly really decided to go melbourne and stuff! The most scary part is nt really adapting w the environment i think coz im gg w few of my close buddies so i guess tt makes feel more at ease! BT the STUDIES & WORKload! sometimes it jux send shivers down my spine.. i guess its becoz its been a yr since i last set for an exam and busy mugging! Wrking is indeed different coz usually after wrk i tend to jux shut off and enjoy my day to the fullest BT NOW it hafta be accompanied with revions, hws, reports bla bla.. the same old student routine continues! Its nt tt im nt excited being a student once again BT im afraid on how im gonna handle it! I CANT AFFORD to SCREW up...imagine the amt of $$ was involved in sending me there to study! sooo god, i really hope you will guide me thru!

OF course i dun intend to be jux a boOkworm.. i wanna explore & learn the whole new experience tt awaits me.. i think and really hope tt im gonna enjoy my stay there and make it as fruitful as it can ever be!

SO before i leave im gonna meet up w soo many ppl and thanx guys fr the farewell organized! It really means alot to me.. =)

Im goOOna mISS my family & frens back at home.. its like U leaving ur comfort zone.. and GOtta learn to be independent and stuff.. SO i jux wanna let every1 out there know tt im soo gonna miss all of U here back in singapore! take care PPl! *hugz*

No more tutoring = byebye NICO

TODAy marks the last day fr me tutoring this pri 1 boy named Nico.. it has been a great pleasure tutoring this lil cute boy so naive bt yet super talkative.. u will jux be amazed by kids, the stories they will purposely keep telling you so that less work can be done.. bt nevertherless he was a joy.. It was pretty sweet him to make a farewell card for me and seeing him so confused as to why i must go Australia.

Guess what he asked me, "Australia got university? i tot only gt knagaroos and koalas, i never see any school". hahaha (he went to aussie before, quite a rich kid)

His mother was v nice too, like wanting me to still keep in contact and mayb once im back can cont tutoring and stuff.. haha.. hee! suddenly i have this 'thing' fr teaching.. when u see ppl appreciate U, its kindaof a nice feeling.. and esp when the kid u tutors does well in sch, even a greater sense of achievement. so anyways i wish him all the best!

guess what i got my last tuition pay! yeay! the money is for me doing up my hair.. heh!

Yey! ive like just finished writting up all the entries for my log book before i hafta hand them up! OK, gulity ME! i shld haf be more consistent and this wun happen i haf like a few months of entry to update! =X BUT nevertherless it was ALL DONE UP!

SUddenly it really occur to me that IM LEAVING! haha.. its a weird feeling and im sooo gonna MISS the ppl i see at WORK esp the girlss.. AS i was preparing a mini parting gift for them and writing lil memo messages.. I kinda felt a tinch of sadness.
